Bcaa also known as “branch chain amino acids”. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein, thousands and thousands of amino acids combine together to form large structures of protein. Bcaa’s are made up of three essential proteins leucine, isoleucine, and valine, theses protein assist in the maintenance, repair and building of new muscle tissue. When used correctly it can help prevent muscle break down when in a caloric deficit or during high intensity interval training. Theses three essential proteins are very important in helping the muscle recover from a workout.

When you beginning to workout your body starts to break down muscle tissue rapidly, consuming amino acid before hand whether through food or through supplementation helps prevent muscle atrophy and aids in the recovery and development of new muscle tissue

Amino acids are required by the body, but can not be produced by the body so it is very important to consume foods that contain High amounts of protein especially if you are trying to build new muscle tissue.

Amino acids can be supplemented or consumed in foods like cottage cheese, chicken breast, Greek yogurt, oats etc.
