How To Break Negative Thoughts

We become what we practice. So for example if you practice playing the piano you become a pianist...

When a person first plays the piano they have to consciously think about moving their hands to play the notes this is because the brain hasn’t built any neurological pathways for the new skill yet.

This is why it is said that it takes 10,000 hours of practice to master a new skill. This means you have to constantly be practicing both physically and psychologically.

The mind has to fixate and obsess over the new skill and you have to be constantly thinking about the skill you want to learn in your head in order for your brain to build the neurological pathways that is needed for that skill to become effortless and easy for you.

For example when you are learning to drive it is important that you think about what you are doing and take your mind through your driving drills and try to visualise how to start and move the car..

Consciously Teaching Yourself Negative Things

Now think about it if you are constantly teaching yourself to focus on the negative thoughts in your head your mind will learn to only do this because you have literally just been practicing to only do this..

How To Override The Negative Thoughts and Reprogram The Mind

The first step is to recognise these negative thoughts and realise that they are not positive. Once you are able to identify these thoughts as negative then you are on the right track for changing and having full control of your mind and thoughts.

It is very important that you try to make a conscious effort every day to only think of positive thoughts and ignore the negative ones, that way you are teaching yourself to only think and focus on positive thoughts.

Once this is mastered you become like the pianist and eventually you will be learning a new skill of positive thinking and mindfulness.

Effectively you will reprogram your neurological paths to only focus and expand on positive thoughts.
